Dream Innovation

Dream Innovation Lab is an internal working group within Sleep Well Industries currently led by director Yash Chokwonganun and was set up in 2015 with a primary focus on:

  1.     Product Development
  2.     Quality Control

The team overseas all product development to ensure our bedding products are state-of-the-art and as technology evolves, Dream Master is in the forefront of adopting and implementing innovation in our offerings. Consistently researching new raw materials, Dream Innovation Lab is dedicated to the trial-and-error process and strive to experiment with creating new and better products. The team is integral in ensuring Sleep Well Industries remains a global bedding market leader.

Over the last decade the team has continuously upgraded the foams, latex, fabrics, and other raw materials used in products to maximize durability and quality. Utilizing unique materials like blue gelflex, airweave, diamond-infused latex, copper-infused latex and more, Dream Master has successfully produced an array of different products providing different feels for different types of sleepers.

The working group’s first key achievement came in 2010 when they successfully created a business case for Sleep Well to invest and focus in manufacturing Southeast Asia’s best pocket spring mattresses. Two years later in 2012, based on quantitative data, Dream Innovation Lab recommended Dream Master increase the size of our tri-zone pocket springs from 5-turns to 6-turns and as a result increase the durability of our products. Dream Master remains the only pocket spring mattress manufacturer in Thailand to utilize 6-turn springs in all our products, thus ensuring our mattresses can endure up to 60 tonnes of pressure and 350kg of weight consistently for a longer duration of time.

In 2015, Dream Innovation Lab took into consideration customer feedback and introduced non-flip technology across all its flagship product lines. Hotel housekeeping teams struggled with the requirement to flip mattresses every three months due to its heavy weight and inefficient requirement of labour force. Due to the endurance of Dream Master’s high quality springs, Dream Master products do not require to be flipped and have 10 year warranties. This innovation was exceptionally well-received by customers and helped further strengthen Dream Master’s position as a leading bedding supplier for hospitality groups.

More recently Dream Innovation Lab has been heavily involved in designing products that incorporate zippers. As mattresses and other bedding products face wear and tear, certain elements are more likely to be worn down. By creating products with zippers, Dream Master gives its customers the option to change certain elements of the bedding product rather than purchasing a whole new one and as such adding value to our products while also reducing waste. Dream Innovation Lab’s commitment to excellency is what future-proofs our position as a leading bedding manufacturer and Dream Master is confident to continue producing the most advance products based on the quality research.

Dream Innovation Lab also oversees quality control for every product that leaves Sleep Well’s manufacturing facility. Dream Master’s mattresses have the highest industry conformity standards to give our clientele absolute confidence in our products. Dream Innovation Labs routinely commission the world’s most reputable third party testing and certification agencies (SGS, Element, Oeko Tex, etc) to obtain key qualifications. An updated list of current qualifications and certificates is available on the Dream Master website.

As part of Dream Master’s commitment to quality control, Dream Innovation Lab also overseas the purchase and operation of quality and compliance test machinery. These machines are used periodically to verify our product quality. The firmness retention rate testing machines were first purchased in 2013 and have been upgraded several time since. Dream Innovation Lab also has a mattress roller durability tester as well as the world renounced industry standard Cornell Testing machine. Other quality control machinery include equipment to check foam density, foam tensile, foam compression as well as fabric and knitting quality.
